Salinas PD B.O.L. Page

On August 8, 2002 Salinas Police Officers were sent to 349 Iris Dr. #123 to conduct a welfare check on Loretta (Lori) Paluszynski. Officers found Ms. Paluszynski dead from multiple stab wounds.

Salinas Police Officers immediately began looking for Ms. Paluszynski’s boyfriend, Juan Zavala Nunez. Ms. Paluszynski’s vehicle, a black over red Chevy Tracker, with California plate 4JKG512, was stolen from the victims parking stall at the apartment complex. Ms. Paluszynski’s vehicle was located in the city of Cypress in Orange County, Ca. on August 12, 2002.

The suspect Juan Zavala Nunez has relatives who live in Cypress and Anaheim and other possible southern California areas. Detectives have tracked Nunez and believe he is in fact in Mexico.

Anyone who has any information of the whereabouts of suspect Juan Zavala Nunez, please contact the Salinas Police Department Investigations Division. Do not try and contact him yourself. He is to be considered violent and very dangerous.
