An 83 year old Salinas resident returned home from a local bingo establishment. She drove home to the 13000  block of Jackson St. When she pulled into her garage, she was confronted by a male wearing dark clothing and a face mask. He pointed a gun at her and told her to roll down the window. He then smashed the driver's door window of her car with a black revolver. He put the gun to her head and demanded her purse. He opened the rear door and took her purse out of the back seat and fled. The victim received minor injuries from broken glass which did not require hospitalization. No suspects have been identified. No. The Salinas Municipal Code  prohibits any fowl or livestock to be kept as pets. This includes pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. Roosters are especially bothersome because of the noise they create and the fact they are sometimes used for cockfights and gambling.
