Location: 1554 North Main Street #A - Don Roberto's Jewelry Store

Salinas Police Officers responded to an armed robbery at Don Roberto Jewelry Store, 1554 North Main Street #A. Two Hispanic male suspects entered the store: Suspect 1; 5-9/5-11 black hooded jacket with a California Bear logo on the back, black pants and black shoes with a blue bandana covering his face and Suspect 2; 5-3/5-6, gray hooded jacket, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, blue bandana covering his face carrying a chrome semi auto handgun.  Upon entering the store, Suspect 2 forced a customer, who was 8 months pregnant, to the back of the store. Suspect 2 opened several display cases and obtained various amounts of jewelry. Suspect 1 entered an area in the back of the store and did the same. The suspects fled in a white colored Chevrolet passenger vehicle.  Witnesses provided a vehicle description.  A Salinas Parole Agent, who was driving in the area, located the suspect vehicle abandoned in the neighborhood near Broadway and Manhattan.  It is unclear where the suspects went from there and there is no estimate of value on the stolen jewelry.  The 8 month pregnant victim was treated and released by medical personnel as a precaution.  The M.O. of this robbery is similar to the Don Roberto Jewelry Store, 1033 East Alisal, robbery that occurred on July 3rd.
