Location: 700 Block of E. Romie Ln.

An couple had just returned home to their apartment in the 700 block of E. Romie Lane and were walking from the parking lot to their residence when they were confronted by two males.  One of the individuals pointed a gun at the victims and demanded their money . When the 66 year-old male said he had no money, the second suspect punched him in the face several times and then kicked him after he fell. The first suspect then grabbed the purse the 69 year-old woman was carrying. Both suspects ran through the parking lot and continued westbound on E. Romie Lane. On their way out, the first suspect bumped into a parked vehicle and dropped his gun. It was later determined to not be a real firearm. The male victim was treated for minor injuries. Both suspects were described as Hispanic males in their late 20s, about 5'4" and 150-170 lbs. The suspect with the gun had a black bandana covering his face, while the other one did not. They both wore dark clothing and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
