Location: 300 Block of Cross Ave.

A 19 year old male and a 20 year old male, were standing outside of a residence in the 300 Block of Cross Ave. when a Hispanic male approached on foot.  The subject pointed a gun at the victims and fired several rounds as they ran away towards the nearby park.  The 19 year old sustained non-life threatening wounds to his legs. The 20 year old victim was not struck.  It is unclear if the suspect came from a vehicle which had been seen in the area before the shooting.  This incident is considered gang-related.

No. The Salinas Municipal Code  prohibits any fowl or livestock to be kept as pets. This includes pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. Roosters are especially bothersome because of the noise they create and the fact they are sometimes used for cockfights and gambling.
