A 20-year old man was stopped at the intersection of Bermuda St at Rider Ave and saw a grey Mitsubishi Galant or Ford Focus parked nearby. The victim saw muzzle flashes coming from the grey car and his windshield began shattering. The victim ducked and sped away on Rider Ave as the suspect continued to fire. Ten large caliber casings were found at the scene and the victim's car sustained 10 strikes. 7 hit the windshield, 2 struck the side and one hit the rear tail light. Officers on-scene of the earlier homicide on Holly St  heard the gunshots at 2208 hours. The victim has no gang ties and the motive is unknown. The suspect car matches the one used in the attempted murder from last night. Officers are actively searching for the suspect car and Salinas Police are asking anyone with information to call.
