Location: 100 block of Orchard Avenue

Salinas Police Officers responded to a large fight at a party in the 100 block of Orchard Ave. There were several people involved in the fight. Officers arrived to find a 24 year old Hispanic male victim suffering from several stab wounds.  There were between 50-75 people present in the street when officers arrived.  The victim, with life threatening wounds, was transported to Natividad Medical Center where he was being prepared for surgery.  The motive is unknown and is unclear if this incident is gang related.

The Salinas Municipal Code  contains noise ordinances that regulate certain kinds of noise.

Generally, noise is divided into four "classes".

• Class A Noise is defined as noise created by equipment operated in the public interest or for emergency or safety purposes. Such equipment includes sirens, street sweepers, garbage trucks, chipper machines, etc. Class A noise is allowed at anytime.
