Officers were called to the Park Row area on S. Main St. for a report of a male with a hammer acting suspiciously.  During the area check, Salvador Barone, 21, was seen running away on Hawthorne St.  Officers contacted Barone and learned from a witness he threw an item into some bushes before being spotted by officers.  A search revealed it was a donation box, containing money for the SPCA.  The donation box was later confirmed to have been inside Jurassic Pets on S. Main St.  Barone had been seen inside the business a few moments earlier.  In addition, the hammer Barone had was located in some nearby bushes.  He was arrested and booked into the County Jail for the burglary, providing false information about his identity, and violation of probation.
