Salinas Police patrol officers responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 800 block of Columbia Dr. A resident called to report three suspects were breaking into a home nearby. The resident stayed on the phone with dispatch and continued to update the movements of the suspects. When officers arrived, they arrested Monica Hoyos (42) who was parked in a stolen vehicle next to the victim residence. Francisco Jaramillo (19) and Jesus Robledo (19) jumped over the back fence onto N. Davis Rd. They were challenged by officers and Jaramillo was arrested. Robledo jumped back over and ran through an occupied residence exiting the front door. He jumped several other fences and climbed on the room of a home in the area. Robledo jumped off of the roof and over several other fences. He was arrested after officers located him hiding under a motorhome in another backyard. The stolen vehicle they had arrived in was taken after a residential burglary earlier in the month. After the suspects were taken into custody, officers learned that Hoyos, Jaramillo and Robledo had tried to burglarize another residence on Pine Street but were unsuccessful. Jaramillo and Robledo are gangmembers.
Bail was increased to $300,000 for Robledo / Jaramillo and $200,000 for Hoyos. They were lodged in County Jail for numerous charges including burglary, attempted burglary, stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and gang enhancements.
