Location: P/L of 1036 Pacific Ave.

Officers were dispatched to a victim of a shooting.  When they arrived, they found 22 year old Olga Ceja unconscious and not breathing. CPR was performed but was not successfull and Ceja was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two Hispanic males in their late teens or early twenties walked up and opened fire on Ceja as she was about to enter a truck that was parked in the driveway.  Numerous shots were fired and the suspects then fled to an awaiting vehicle that went N/B on Pacific Ave. to Del Monte. The Salinas Municipal Code  contains noise ordinances that regulate certain kinds of noise.

Generally, noise is divided into four "classes".

• Class A Noise is defined as noise created by equipment operated in the public interest or for emergency or safety purposes. Such equipment includes sirens, street sweepers, garbage trucks, chipper machines, etc. Class A noise is allowed at anytime.
