On Monday, 9/7/15 at approximately 4:30 PM officers were dispatched to a report of a victim of a shooting at the intersection of Pacific Ave and Garner Ave. On arrival they a Hispanic male adult (26) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died as a reult of his injuries, and his identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of the next of kin.

Witnesses described a hispanic male in his mid 20's, wearing a baggy white shirt and blue jeans running  from the scene. This is the 21st Homicide of the year in Salinas and at this time it is unknown if it is gang related. 

Salinas Police Detectives are still looking for additional witnesses to this incident. No. The Salinas Municipal Code  prohibits any fowl or livestock to be kept as pets. This includes pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. Roosters are especially bothersome because of the noise they create and the fact they are sometimes used for cockfights and gambling.
