Location: 1500 block of Duran St

On Tuesday, September 8th at approximately 9:20 pm Salinas Police responded to 1500 block of Duran St on a report of a victim of a shooting. On arrival they found a Carlos Robles (16)  suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted CPR at the scene, however the victim died as a result of his injuries. A second victim, a male juvenile (17) who was driving with the Robles at the time of the incident suffered non life threatening gunshot wounds and is currently in stable condition. The suspect, who was riding a black bicycle at the time of the incident fired multiple rounds into the occupied vehicle and was last seen fleeing northbound on the bicycle. He was described as light skin male, in his 20's wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. This incident does not appear to be gang related.

Salinas Police Detectives need the publics help and are looking for witnesses or anyone who may information regarding this incident.
