Location: North Hebbron Ave and East St.

On Thursday, October 1st at approximately 9:56 pm Officers responded to a report of a victim of a shooting near the intersection North Hebron and East St. On arrival they Cesareo Meza Ruiz (47) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Meza-Ruiz was transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Two suspects dressed in dark clothing were seen running from the area, but there is no other suspect information available at this time.

Salinas Police Detectives are looking for witnesses or anyone who may information regarding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Cameron Murphy at 831-758-7322. No. The Salinas Municipal Code  prohibits any fowl or livestock to be kept as pets. This includes pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. Roosters are especially bothersome because of the noise they create and the fact they are sometimes used for cockfights and gambling.
