Report #: 15-070132

Date: Friday, 7/3/2015

Time: 12:07 PM

Location: 1033 E. Alisal - Don Roberto's Jewelry

Officers were dispatched for a robbery at Don Roberto Jewelers. A white Escalade had backed into the handicapped stall right in front of the store. When a female with a 4 year old boy was buzzed into the business, the 2 suspects in the Escalade jumped out from the car and ran into the store. One male with a silver handgun grabbed the boy and threatened to shot him if the owners did not give them the keys to the jewelry. One of the owners handed the man with the handgun the keys. That suspect then handed the boy off to his accomplice, who was armed with a shotgun. He held the boy at gunpoint until the first suspect got the jewelry from the display. The suspect holding the boy released him and both ran back to their car. They drove away W/B on Alisal St. The suspects were masked with bandanas, spoke both English and Spanish and at one point told one told the other to 'check the scanner”. The young boy was not injured during this robbery, but was very upset.
