A 33 year old male was in front of a residence when he was approached by two Hispanic males in their 20's. The suspects asked his gang affiliation and a fight ensued. The suspect pulled a handgun and fired, striking the victim in the lower extremities. He was taken to a local trauma center with survivable injuries. The primary suspect is described as 6'-0", 280 lbs wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect is described as 6'-3", large build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspects may have fled in an unknown make/color pick-up truck. The Salinas Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying these suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call the Watch Commander at 758-7250 or the anonymous tip line, 775-4222.

The Salinas Municipal Code  contains noise ordinances that regulate certain kinds of noise.

Generally, noise is divided into four "classes".
