A 40-year-old woman came out to her carport and found some clothing piled on top of her car. She did not know who they belonged to so she set them aside and went to run errands. When she returned she saw Annette Castillo (30), a transient female, upset and looking for the items she left on the car. The victim told Castillo she moved the items and Castillo became angry, grabbed a 30” long 3” thick tree branch, and tried to attack the victim. As she ran up the stairs to her apartment in an attempt get away Castillo threw the branch at her just missing her head. An officer recognized the suspect description as Castillo from a previous contact and check a nearby homeless encampment. The officer located Castillo who was subsequently identified by the victim. Castillo refused to make a statement. She was booked into County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, trespassing, and probation violation.
