Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 1:43am, from three shots fired in the area of Sharon Dr and Fairview Ave., they did not locate any victims. Approximately fifteen minutes later a female victim arrived at Natividad Medical Center with a gunshot wound to her buttock. The victim is three months pregnant. The injuries are not life threatening and the victim is expected to recover.The victim and a male companion had been sitting in a vehicle parked in the area of the ShotSpotter activation when a vehicle drove by and for no apparent reason shot at the victim vehicle several times striking the female victim who was sitting in the back seat. The victims drove to the hospital for treatment.

The victims were not able to provide a description of the suspect or vehicle which fled northbound on Sharon Dr. Three bullet holes were located in the left rear door area of the victim vehicle.
