On Saturday, 12/8/18 at approximately 9:45 pm Salinas Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Granada Ave. and Tampico Ave. Officers located shell casings indicating shots had been fired, however a victim could not be located. Approximately 30 minutes later officers responded the 1200 block of Granada Ave. to a call from a mother who reported her son had retunrnded home with a gunshot wound. The 29 year old victim suffered non life threatening injuries, and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The victim was uncooperative, and refused to provide any information to officers.

This is an ongoing investigation and the Salinas Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information regarding the incident call the Salinas Police Deprtment at 831-758-7226. No. The Salinas Municipal Code  prohibits any fowl or livestock to be kept as pets. This includes pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. Roosters are especially bothersome because of the noise they create and the fact they are sometimes used for cockfights and gambling.
