The Salinas Police Department responded to two separate bomb threats today. The first was at 11:30 am at the Sylvan Learning Center located at 1465 N. Davis Road. The second was at 11:41 am at 1701 Independence Blvd. the offices of the Creekbridge Apartments. Each of these threats were received via email and are believed to a part of the nationwide events that have been occurring today. Officers responded to both locations and found no evidence that the threats are credible.

No. The Salinas Municipal Code  prohibits any fowl or livestock to be kept as pets. This includes pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. Roosters are especially bothersome because of the noise they create and the fact they are sometimes used for cockfights and gambling.
