Members of the Salinas Police Department's Violence Suppression Unit conducted a vehicle stop for vehicle code violations.  The driver was Frank Campos (35 - an active gang member and convicted felon).  A loaded handgun was located in his pocket.  He was lodged in county jail for numerous firearm and gang charges.

The Salinas Municipal Code  contains noise ordinances that regulate certain kinds of noise.

Generally, noise is divided into four "classes".
