Hit an Run Fatal Collision

Shortly before 5:00 AM Thursday morning, 54 year-old Gretchen Knowles was struck by a vehicle in the 2200 block of N. Main St. in Salinas. Knowles was pronounced dead at the scene. The involved vehicle did not stop at the scene of the collision. This case is being investigated by the Salinas Police Traffic Unit and the Investigations Unit as a hit and run collision.
