On February 6, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, an officer was flagged down by a driver in the area of East Alisal Street and Kings Street.  The 20-year-old male driver reported that his passenger, a 19-year-old male had been shot.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but died from his injuries.  Apparently, the driver, the homicide victim and another 19-year-old male were parked in the area of West Street and Archer Street when they were approached by at least one male suspect. The suspect pointed a gun at them and told them to get out. The three began to drive away and the suspect shot at least once, striking the homicide victim.    At this time, we do not know if this crime is gang related and we are not releasing his name, pending notification of the family.  The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided when available.
