On February 6, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, an officer was flagged down by a driver in the area of East Alisal Street and Kings Street.  The 20-year-old male driver reported that his passenger, 19-year-old Fabian Moreno, had been shot.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but died from his injuries.  Apparently, the driver, Mr. Moreno and another 19-year-old male were parked in the area of West Street and Archer Street when they were approached by at least one male suspect. The suspect pointed a gun at them and told them to get out. The three began to drive away and the suspect shot at least once, striking Mr. Moreno in his torso.    At this time, we do not know if the shooting is gang related.  The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided when available.
