Please join us as we welcome seven new Salinas PD officers with an Oath of Office ceremony on February 8, 2019. The ceremony will be held at the Salinas PAL Building 100 Howard St. at 3:30 pm.

Recruit Officers K'Shante Dela Cuadra, Eduardo Gamboa, Gabriel Garcia, and Cameron Lane will graduate from the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium that morning, prior to the ceremony in the afternoon. Officer Robert Wayman, who is returning home from Huntington Beach PD, and Officer Victoria Ramirez, a lateral officer from the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, will also be sworn in. Officer Richard Macias, who was recently hired and has not yet participated in a ceremony, will join them as well. In addition, recently hired Animal Control Officer Silvia Camacho will also be sworn in.

The public is invited to attend.

Does the law say what kind of noise can be made at different times and in different places?
 
The Salinas Municipal Code  contains noise ordinances that regulate certain kinds of noise.

Generally, noise is divided into four "classes".

• Class A Noise is defined as noise created by equipment operated in the public interest or for emergency or safety purposes. Such equipment includes sirens, street sweepers, garbage trucks, chipper machines, etc. Class A noise is allowed at anytime.
