Update: 11-29-18 Salinas Police Department would once again like to thank the community for coming forward with information, which led to locating Felix Francisco's family. Mr. Francisco was the homicide victim from the November 3, 2018 shooting on N. Hebbron St. We hope that additional information from the public may be helpful in leading to the arrest of those responsible for this senseless act and bring some closure to the family..If anyone has information regarding this incident, you are encouraged to contact Detective Ruben Sanchez at (831)758-7927. Update: 11-26-2018 The homicide victim from the November 3, 2018 shooting in the 100 block of N. Hebbron St. has been identified as Felix Alonso Francisco (43). Detectives were able to identify him earlier this month but so far have not been able to locate his family or determine where he lived or worked. On November 3, 2018, at approximately 1:30 am, officers responded to the under 100 block of North Hebbron Avenue to investigate calls from community members regarding gunshots, along with a ShotSpotter activation. Officers located a Hispanic male in his late 20's to early 30's, lying in the driveway of a complex, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim expired at the scene. We are looking into the possibility of a gang nexus, but at this time, the motive is unknown. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided when available.
