Location: 100 Block of San Juan Grade Rd.

On 2/21/2020, at approximately10:19 PM, a 14-year-old juvenile was struck by a car as he ran across the street on the 100 block of San Juan Grade. It appears that the juvenile had exited a car parked along the shoulder of the roadway and sprinted across street toward an apartment building ahead of oncoming traffic. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the impact and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation and DUI is not suspected.

The Salinas Municipal Code  contains noise ordinances that regulate certain kinds of noise.

Generally, noise is divided into four "classes".
