The driver of a Mazda 3 was traveling northbound on N. Main St. in the #1 lane of traffic when a male adult pedestrian was walking eastbound across the lanes of traffic was struck and seriously injured. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious leg and head injuries and was listed in critical but stable condition. The driver of the vehicle, who did not see the pedestrian in the roadway, stopped and cooperated with officers on scene. The driver was licensed and not impaired. The investigation is ongoing.
