Crime Statistics

The Crime Statistic Unit participates in the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program by providing data on Part 1 offenses on a monthly basis to the State of California. The state forwards the data to the FBI's National UCR Program. Offenses are classified based on the facts of the investigation of a crime in addition to applying a hierarchy rule with multiple offenses.
